Spainy, what are you doing here?
I have been here now for about 23 days so far (i think) and it feels like so much longer. I have a countdown and glanced at it today and it says that I have 298 days left here. It doesn't seem like that is enough to learn Spanish, travel, eat, drink, meet, live. However, it's like 9 months so it does seem like a long time. Funny how I could have a child and no one would know until I returned to the US.
I've never had much a craving to read, until now. Funny though, all the books are in Spanish :) sort of makes it difficult.
The homesick part is starting to creep up on us all. It is definitely not enough to cry or think twice about being here but it is there. Everything is just so easy at home, you know where everything is and what to trust and what people are there. Of course I know that at some point, it will be the same here. I need to find places there is live music because I miss it so much, I have been away from it for too long. It is funny that you get homesick for things and people that you haven't had/been around in a long time.
I want to play with Katie in London and Leslie in Bonn and Katie in Italy and Brit-tany and Coco in Chile right now! I just wish there were cheap flights or I had lots of money. I need to be doing things here too.
I wished for it to be cooler and now it is down pouring. Thanks!

This experience is super weird and lovely at the same time.

I absolutely love your view and your Spanish neighborhood.
